Outdoor adventure abounds at Cuyahoga Valley National Park.  Hike the Brandywine Gorge Trail to spectacular Brandywine Falls, a 65-foot waterfall. Take the boardwalk through Beaver Marsh and explore the wetlands. See the natural rock formations known as Ritchie Ledges.
The park features over 125 miles of hiking trails for enthusiasts of all skill levels. You’ll find challenging treks with elevation changes that pass through woodlands and cross streams. Beginners will enjoy easier trails, such as the flat 19-mile Towpath Trail that follows the Ohio & Erie Canal. Several short trails are family friendly, and offer the best opportunities to view wildlife.

Cuyahoga Valley maintains four major bicycle trails. Included is the popular Bike Aboard! Program, in which bicyclists can bike the Towpath Trail in one direction, and then ride the Scenic Railway Train back to their starting point. On the shore of Lake Erie, Geneva-on-the-Lake provides tons of family fun – both indoors and out. Young and old alike love to walk the strip, where they’ll find exciting arcades with the latest video games. Play a round of miniature golf at Allison’s Mini Golf, the oldest course in the United States. Enjoy the Adventure Zone, featuring go-carts, bumper boats, batting cages, climbing wall, and much more. Don’t miss the 2 adventurous slides at Wild Waterworks Waterslide. You’ll find playgrounds and athletic courts at Geneva-on-the-Lake Recreational Park.

Visit Tuscarawas County, at the edge of Ohio’s Amish Country, where interesting museums and cultural attractions await you. Three floors of Swiss, German, and Amish heritage are on display at the Alpine Hills Museum in Sugarcreek, where you can also see the world’s largest cuckoo clock. See the history of old time radio and television at the Auman Museum in Dover. Visit the Dennison Railroad Depot Museum, and Elizabeth’s Dollhouse Museum in Bolivar. See Ohio’s oldest settlement at Gnadenhutten Museum and Historical Park. Historic Schoenbrunn Village is a reconstructed 1772 Moravian mission. See Historic Zoar Village, founded in 1817 by German Separatists.
